The contractor shall provide maintenance for the existing data structures and tools, develop enhancements to these structures and tools, develop new application modules, and provide front end web support for these data structures and tools. The contract shall provide expert technical assistance to NCES in data structures and tools quality assurance, and support to data users, including both NCES and its contract staff. The government anticipates awarding a fixed price contract with a period of performance of 60 months. Synopsis This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Department of Education intends to solicit and negotiate a firm-fixed price in accordance with FAR Part 12. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business, under the authority of FAR Part 52.219-6. This is a Request for Proposal (RFP). Offerors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any Department of Education contract; go to https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx to register.
