- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Small Business set-aside. The solicitation number is RFQ2587775 and is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-60. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Station Support/Simplified Acquisitions (SS/SA) Branch has a requirement on behalf of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to purchase a NEXSan E60X storage system to provide additional storage space of data. The Three Tesla Functional Neuroimaging Facility, as part of the Molecular Imaging Branch, at the NIMH has a need to upgrade its current Storage Area Network with additional storage capacity. Requirements: Contractor shall provide customer with a NEXSan E60X storage system as an upgrade to the current NEXSan e18 storage system. The current NEXSan e18 storage system has 54TB maximum capacity and was purchased by NIMH in March 2012. New storage system needs to meet immediate storage requirement of at least 32TB. The new NEXSan E60X will be configured to the existing NEXSan E18, and be configured with 20 3TB Disks/7200 RPM. Evaluation Factors: Offerors will be evaluated on their ability to meet required technical specifications as described in this announcement. Offers will also be evaluated on best value in relation to price. Quotations are to be sent electronically to hunter.tjugum@nih.gov prior to the response date in this Notice. Delivery requirements include shipping completed items, FOB Destination, to the Clinical Center on NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD. Deliveries must be made not later than 30 days after receipt of order. The following FAR provisions shall apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items, 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. The Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and the Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items applies to this acquisition.
