- Description
- DAU map Clarification Vendors may come to view the performance area on Tuesday 8/14/12 at 9am for a brief tour. A map is attached to this notice (Gunston Road, left on 18th, building 207 on right). Only a driver's license is required for entry. It is advised that visitors have all paperwork up to date on their vehicles (registration, inspection, insurance, etc.) Visitors will enter through Tulley gate. Report to Eddie Rozier in Building 207, room 114. Answers are provided to questions submitted as follows: Question 1. Section F.4.6, Technical Exhibit I (page 14). Regarding the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of 99% uptime of Library Systems, and notification of any system outages within one hour of all system outages and service interruptions. Is it the Government's intention that System outages or service interruptions that occur outside of the normal working hours referenced in Section C.8.1, 0730 - 1700 M-F, still require a notification within one hour to meet the standard? Or is the one-hour notification meant to apply only within the hours referenced in C.8.1? And if the intention is for one hour notification 24/7, then does the Government have and will provide as GFE an automated notification system to monitor for such outages? Answer 1: The one hour notification is meant to apply during the normal business hours outlined in Section C.8.1. Question 2. Section C.15, Period of Performance (Page 11) references ‘one Library Computer Systems Administrator (C.3.1), one Technical Services Librarian (C.3.2), and one Reference Librarian (C.3.3)'. But pricing tables in Section B, page 3, refer to four labor categories, those three aforementioned ones plus an Archivist (C.3.4). As Clarification: Is it the intention of the Government that offerors will propose pricing for all four labor categories as referenced in Section B, but that Tasking under this IDIQ will only initially fund the three labor categories referenced in C.15? And if so, then does the Government have visibility into when the Archivist position would be funded and procured via this IDIQ vehicle? Answer 2: The government plans for the initial tasking to include three positions. The government will have a need for the Archivist position but cannot project when it will be funded. Question 3. Are you able to advise if this is a new requirement or is there an incumbent contractor performing the work? If there is an incumbent, could you please provide the contractor's name, contract number, award date, expiration date, and value. Answer 3: The Defense Acquisition University currently has a contract with ZAI, task order #W91QV1-07-F-0320 under GSA contract #GS-35F-5405-H, effective 8/30/07 through 9/30/12, award amount $241,516.
