- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This is for a market survey only; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. The U.S. Air Force, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base (SJAFB), has been tasked to identify potential sources, market capabilities and market conditions for the acquisition of a Grounds Maintenance Services contract. Interested and capable commercial sources are being sought to determine the level of interest to perform the required services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Services include, but are not limited to, mowing, trimming, and edging. This is not a solicitation for bid, but a solicitation is expected to be issued at a later date. The proposed requirement is anticipated to be a firm fixed price contract with a seven (7) month base period. Any resulting solicitation will be posted electronically to this site. The North American Industry Classification System is 561730- Landscaping Services. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of members of both the Small Business Community, to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Women Owned Small Business's to compete for and perform a Firm-Fixed Price contract to perform the requirements of the Grounds Maintenance Services contract. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that Grounds Maintenance is performed at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC in a manner that will maintain healthy grass and a professional appearance in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). All work performed by the contractor shall be performed in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, instructions, and commercial practices. All submittals received will be reviewed for informational purposes. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The Government must determine and ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of interested, capable commercial companies.
