- Description
- Under this firm-fixed price contract, the contractor will independently provide archeological support services for up to 1,920 hours to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the Regulatory Branch, Louisville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The primary objective is to provide technical support for cultural resources management as required by the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) where proposed projects require a Department of the Army permit. Specific areas of support include: research established literature to determine the potential for cultural resources located within the proposed project boundaries, consult the National Register of Historic Places (Register) and review other pertinent records in order to determine if proposed projects will affect any sites listed or eligible for listing on the Register, review reports submitted by permit applicants as a matter of course in satisfying NHPA requirements, perform site visits to project areas in the company of Louisville District employees to insure that cultural resource requirements are being met, attend interagency and consulting party meetings, draft standard correspondence and recommendations regarding archaeological reports for use by the Regulatory Branch in meeting the NHPA requirements. As a general policy, locations of cultural resource sites will be provided to contractor employee(s) on a need to know basis and the employee(s) shall not disclose this information to anyone outside the Regulatory branch of the Louisville district without prior approval of Chief, Regulatory Branch.. This is a Best Value Procurement and is Set-Aside for 8(a) Companies. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 541990, with a size standard of $14M. This will contract will have a Base Year and Four (4) one Year Option Periods. The approximate issue date is 27 August 2012 and approximate closing date is 25 September 2012, 11:00 AM Eastern Time.
