Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) numbered VA786A-12-B-0096 entitled "Historic Perimeter Wall Remediation Project" on or about August 28, 2012, for Memorial Service Network 2 locations, Baton Rouge (Louisiana), Corinth (Mississippi), Danville(Virginia), Knoxville (Tennessee), Marietta (Georgia), Port Hudson (Louisiana), and Wilmington (North Carolina) National Cemeteries. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified or cancelled, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOPPS (www.fbo.gov). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR); In accordance with VAAR 852.219-10 VA Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside and VAAR 819-7005; Offeror submitting a bid must be Center for Veterans Enterprise verified and visible in the VIP database at time of bid due date and award. There will be a pre-bid site investigation; all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site investigation will be included in the solicitation package. NAICS Code: 238140Size Standards: $14Million Project Magnitude: Between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000 Period of Performance: 570 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming IFB solicitation to satisfy the requirement of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Contract Specialist will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until an IFB is issued. Questions will only be answered that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The Contracting Officer will not maintain a bidder's mailing list. All interested parties should register via FedBizOpps interested vendors list. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to providing all professional labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to repair historical perimeter walls including masonry and minimal rod iron work at all sites in accordance with specifications and drawings. Public Bid opening will be held at proposal due date listed on the solicitation.
