Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis an IDIQ contract with issuance of Fixed Price delivery orders to APPLIED SYSTEMS ENGINEERING INCORPORATED (ASEI), 1480 Hickory St, Suite 106, Niceville, FL 32578-2548. This requirement will provide for the following maximum quantities: ITEM 0001 QTY of one hundred ten (110) ASEI-AN-004-00 Rev B Selective Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) Advanced Tactical Navigator (ATACNAV) receivers; and ITEM 0002 QTY of eighty (80) ASEI-AN-004-01 Rev B SAASM ATACNAV-High Accuracy (HA) receivers. The current BMS GPS design transmits information through the ATACNAV, which has already had extensive design and design reviews to become a tested, fielded, and functional system. This requirement will procure additional ATACNAV and ATACNAV-HA receivers to maintain warfighting fielding and inventory requirements. Since ASEI is the only manufacturer of these receivers with no authorized distributors retains the proprietary rights, no other company can meet the government ™s requirements. Interested parties other than ASEI must be able to demonstrate, in writing, their capability to provide the items above. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be posted on 4 September 2012. The anticipated closing date will be 3 October 2012. The solicitation number will be N00178-12-R-1024. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334511. Point of Contact is Code CXS11-5; 540-284-0708 or kristy.himes@navy.mil
