Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The WALTER REED NATONAL MILITARY MEDICAL CENTER (WNMMC) seeks to acquire from commercial sources Medical/Dental and Organizational Hospital Bulk Laundry and Galley Service Uniform Laundry Services for WRNMMC and the DiLorenzo TRICARE Health Clinic, at the Pentagon, Washington, DC. The scope of the services are for approximately three-million (3,000,000.00) pounds per year of bulk hospital laundry and forty-thousand (40,000) Galley Uniforms per year. The estimated monthly averages are for two-hundred-fifty thousand (250,000) pounds bulk laundry per month; and, three-thousand-three hundred (3,300) Galley Uniforms per month. The period of performance is 01 October 2012 through 30 September 2013, BASE PERIOD; with, four (4) ONE-YEAR OPTION PERIODS. This is a fiscal year (FY) 2013 requirement, and FY 2013 funds are not presently appropriated for this requirement.
