- This is a Sources Sought in accordance with FAR 12.202(b). This is not a solicitation for quotes and there will be no contract award from this Sources Sought. There will be no reimbursement for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought or follow-up information requests. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources and their size classifications (small business, large business, etc.) The Department of Veteran Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System is interested in Procuring Services to perform Maintenance Services for Facilities Management Service located at 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90815. The potential contractor personnel shall be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, the District of Columbia. QUALIFICATIONS: The contractor must be certified to work on ARJO Lifts and provide a copy of that certification to the Contract Officer and Contracting Officer Representative (COR). SERVICE CONTRACT TERMS: The service contract shall include the following at minimum: 1.Scheduled Annual Preventative Maintenance and Inspection: one (1) 2.Unscheduled callbacks per unit: three (3) 3.Labor covered for the annual inspection and 3 unscheduled call backs 4.Units covered: a.BHM Ceiling Cassette V4: twelve (12) units b.Voyager 420, 2FB Ceiling Lift ALB3-2FB: ten (10) units c.Maxi Sky 600 LD10011: thirty-one (31) units A. Annual Preventative Maintenance 1.Inspect strap for damage and shows signs of wear or discoloration, the acceptable load on the strap before rupture can drop rapidly and present a danger for the patient or caregiver. Replace strap every two years or 5000 cycles. 2.Inspect frame parts interlock and hardware for malfunction and make sure there are no missing parts. 3.Inspect gears for wear and lubricate as necessary. 4.Inspect connecting joints for proper attachment (trolley and spreader bar). 5.Verify that the emergency brake on the drum is turning freely. 6.Verify the emergency brake. 7.Verify emergency lowering mechanism. 8.Verify alternative up and down buttons on cassette. 9.Load test with the SWL (safe working load). 10.Torque end stoppers to 20 N. m, (15 lbf.ft) 11.Make sure that the bracket locking device is not visible. 12.Make sure rail joints are closed and that the spring pins are centered. 13.Make sure the rail is straight when it is not loaded. 14.Make sure the adjusted load setting of the lift is equal or lower than the safe working load of the installation. 15.Check that the accessories (turntable and exchanger) are complete and correctly maintained. 16.Make sure that the attachments (ceilings brackets, wall post, call brackets) have not been displaced. 17.Inspect track end stoppers. Inspect and tighten hardware (if necessary) 18.Load test with the SWL (safe working load). 19.Replace the batteries when there is a noticeable reduction in the number of transfers that can be performed between charges. Note: The contractor shall provide a oranigized binder of the Preventive Maintenance report per unit with serial number,room numbers and EE number must be submitted to the COR. The lifts indentied for repairs must be tagged out of service immediately and a action report provide to the COR. The intended contract period will be for one (1) year base to begin on or after September 1, 2012 with four (4) subsequent one-year renewals options.
