Description

SLAC seeks vendors that can provide the following: 1.1 Power Supply for the SPEAR3 Booster dipole and quadrupole magnets. The dipoles and quadrupole magnets are series-connected forming one electrical circuit with the load cabling. Hereinafter the SPEAR3 Booster dipole and quadrupole magnet power supply can be referred to as PS. 1.2 The Seller will design, manufacture, install and integrate Purchaser-furnished components, label, perform quality assurance, test, package, deliver and commission the PS in accordance with the requirements of this specification and the purchase order. 1.3 The PS will be housed together in one power supply area in SLAC building 140. The building has an extensive air conditioning system, providing stable ambient conditions under normal circumstances. 1.4 The PS will be fed from the site 480 V ac, 60 Hz, 3-phase power distribution system and will require isolation transformers, which are part of the contract. The transformers must be dry-type, air cooled and housed inside one of the PS cabinets. 208 V ac, 60 Hz, 3-phase will be provided for the PS controls circuits. AMBIENT CONDITIONS 2.1 Prevailing ambient conditions at Purchaser's site located in Menlo Park, California, U.S.A. can be: 2.1.1 Location............... Indoors 2.1.2 Temperature.......... 4 degrees C (40 degrees F) minimum to 45 degree C (113 degrees F) 2.1.3 Elevation.............. 274 m (900 ft) above sea level 2.1.4 Humidity.............. 10% to 100% relative humidity with a 10 degrees C (50 degrees F) dew point   THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE.
