Description

Naval Criminal Investigative Services (NCIS) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source purchase order for the NCIS to procure and install additional Instrustion Detection System and Access Control System (IDS/ACS) equipment for the NCIS EAD Atlantic Office from DIEBOLD INFORMATION AND SECURITY SYSTEMS, LLC; 310 EVERGREEN RD SUITE 102, LOUISVILLE, KY40299-3788. The agency ™s requirement is procure and install additional Instrustion Detection System and Access Control System (IDS/ACS) equipment for the NCIS Office located in EAD Atlantic 293 Independence Blvd, Suite 516, VA Beach, VA 23462. The system includes motion detectors, door contacts, door card readers, and other supporting equipment. The rationale is that Diebold is the existing provider for Open Storage Secret accredited security systems in the existing space for NCIS. Diebold provides the infrastructure for alarms to be received at Base Dispatch. The install of all equipment MUST maintain the existing warranty provided by Diebold. Other Contractors cannot utilize the supporting propietary infrasture and therefore cannot meet the security regulations for the requirement. Therefore, Diebold can provide all the requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Please see attached statement of work for your information. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
