- The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE under purchase order number W91ZLK-12-P-0589. This procurement action is being conducted under FAR part 13 and 6.302-1 with the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), to University of Maryland 3112 Lee Building, MD 207455100, as only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirement; therefore proposals cannot be submitted directly on this notice. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611310 with a large business size standard. The resultant purchase order will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-56. The contractor shall provide: Membership/Participation in the University of Maryland's Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) Prognostics and Health Management (PMH) Consortium for the period of performance 1 September 2012 through 31 August 2013. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, however, all information received by 17 August 2012 will be considered by the Government. All interested vendors must respond by 20 August 2012, 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Responses shall be submitted to the point of contact Sara J. Nowell via e-mail, sara.j.nowell.civ@mail.mil. The e-mail subject line shall state: W91ZLK-12-P-0589 Notice of Intent to Sole Source. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
