Description
The Rock Island District, US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns that qualify under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333120 Construction Machinery Manufacturing for the following requirement located at USACE- Lock and Dam 20, Canton, Missouri. The principal project requirements of the work to be performed: Perform an in-depth and thorough inspection of damages caused by storm damage to Lock and Dam 20's bridge crane - Link Belt LS78, serial number 8DH3-488, and Whiting Services Brand bulkhead lifter and undercarriage, serial number 62244. The approximate size of the undercarriage and bulkhead lifter is 15'X40'X7' and it weighs an estimated 150,000 pounds. The contractor will be expected to develop and execute a repair plan based on the damages assessed. This will likely include: moving the crane and lifter to the company's facilities to begin the disassembly process of all damaged parts; ordering or manufacturing new parts as necessary to begin the rebuilding phase; then transporting the repaired crane and bulkhead lifter back to the Service Base in Pleasant Valley, IA for mobilization to Lock and Dam 20 on Government barges. With hoisting assistance from Government, the contractor will complete the final assembly and testing of the crane and bulkhead lifter. When complete, the crane and lifter shall be fully operational and safe for use on top of Lock and Dam 20's service bridge. All repairs shall be performed by certified manufacturers repair technicians and work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable design and safety standards. This announcement is part of our market research, and your responses are sought to identify sources that have the knowledge, skills, and capability to perform the work. Interested SDVOSB contractors that qualify under NAICS Code 333120 are hereby invited to submit a response to the market survey to demonstrate their technical, managerial and business capability to provide the requested services. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR A FORMAL PROPOSAL. This notice is provided as information to the marketplace and is an invitation for an expression of interest and demonstration of SDVOSB capability to perform the anticipated work. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. All interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this market survey request. Interested contractors must furnish the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, phone number and e-mail address (2) Business Size for NAICS 333120 (3) Describe qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing these services. Sources must sufficiently demonstrate the capability to perform these services and must provide detailed experience and qualifications in all previous work pertinent to this effort. Provide point of contacts that can verify this experience.
