- Sole source J&A - Federal Work Study A Cooperative Agreement has been established and signed between these two entities to provide Peace Corps recruitment support services at UC Berkeley, and to its alumni throughout the San Francisco Bay area (Attachment 1). To fulfill the requirements of this agreement for the Academic Year 2012-2013, the following work requirements will be supplied to Peace Corps by UC Berkeley through its Cal Corps Department: 1) Two UC Berkeley Work-Study students to provide on-campus outreach; and, 2) One UC Berkeley Work-Study student to work within the Peace Corps office to assist in media outreach support. For these UC Berkeley Work Study Students, Cal Corps will provide the clerical support to acquire and maintain Work-Study students to support Peace Corps recruitment on campus and throughout the San Francisco Region. Cal Corps will work with Peace Corps to recruit, hire, track hours, and directly pay the Work-Study positions. The f o llowing three positions will be needed: Campus Recruitment Support (2 FWS Students) - Graduate students with experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer are strongly preferred, or at least students with interest in becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer. The positions work primarily on campus with limited work at the SFRO in Oakland, CA. Duties will include: •· Assist Agency's regional recruiter for UC Berkeley with campus recruiting, including contributing to overall campus recruiting strategy, planning for campus events, public speaking, tabling, etc. •· Assist in publicizing upcoming events on campus •· Maintain the confidentiality of documents and correspondence in sound, confidential, and professional manner •· Perform a variety of other duties as assigned; such as collating reports, filing information, posting flyers, answering phones, writing drafts, etc. Assistant to Public Affairs Specialist (1) - An undergraduate or graduate student majoring in a field related to communications, journalism, and/or international affairs is preferred. An RPCV or a student with an interest in becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer is preferred. This position works primarily at the SFRO Office in Oakland, CA, with some work on campus. Duties include: •· Assist with writing and distribution of press releases •· Assist with production of newsletters and fact sheets •· Research and secure proclamations from city and county officials in advance of Peace Corps Week •· Help publicize Peace Corps through community calendars and Web sites •· Track event feedback forms •· Maintain database of community contacts and prospective Volunteers •· Maintain the confidentiality of documents and correspondence in sound, confidential, and professional manner •· Perform other duties as assigned; such as photocopying, faxing, collating reports, filing information, writing drafts, and typing
