- Mobile District intends to publish a solicitation for the brand name aquatic herbicide Galleon, containing the active ingredient Penoxsulam to treat submerged plants at Lake Seminole, Florida. This announcement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for offers. Written notification and supporting information regarding the availability of other herbicide(s) containing Penoxsulam must be submitted in writing to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, ATTN: CESAMT-CT-S(Helene Mitchell), P.O. Box 2288, Mobile, AL 36628-0001 or helene.s.mitchell@usace.army.mil within 15 calendar days of this notice (September 6, 2012). If no affirmative documentation is received, the Mobile District will proceed with soliciting for Galleon. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on brand name or equal criteria.
