- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Aerial Fire Depot, Missoula, MT has a requirement for 16 Cypress II 2-Pin Smoke Jumper Automatic Activation Devices P/N AAD2C2ZSJ. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 334511. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The government believes that SSK Military Industries is the only known source that provides this requirement. The estimated value of this simplified acquisition is $80,400.00. This is not a request for competitive quotes, but serves as a procurement notice to fulfill public posting requirements in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1). Responsible firms believing they can provide the required items are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer referencing action solicitation #AG-03R6-S-12-0096. However, they must provide supporting evidence they can furnish the requested items at a cost that will not exceed the total estimated transaction cost. All responses will be fully considered. If no affirmative responses are received by 1630 (MST) September 6, 2012 to the effect that a comparable source exists, an order will be placed with SSK Military Industries for the requirements stated here.
