- The Federal Aviation Administration Central Service Area hereby announces its intention to solicit a Request for Offers. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The successful offeror shall furnish all necessary labor and materials in the performance of Janitorial Service at the El Paso Air Traffic Control Tower and Air Route Surveillance Radar Facility in El Paso, TX. The solicitation will request pricing for a one year period from 10/1/12 to 9/30/13. In addition to janitorial service, the solicitation will also include tower cab exterior window cleaning. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this project is 5671720. The small business size standard is $16.5 Million. Please submit your request for the solicitation to Jeri Bird, Contracting Officer, via fax or e-mail not later than 8/30/12 at 3:00 PM Central Time at jeri.bird@faa.gov or 817-222-5958. Delivery Period: 365 Calendar Days A site visit will be strongly encouraged, but optional for this project. Vendors may contact Norvel Green at 915-774-9425 or 915-774-9404 to schedule a site visit. Additional site visit details will be contained in the solicitation. Solicitation issue date will be approximately 8/31/12. Anticipated start date is 10/1/12. All contractors are required to complete a registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
