- Description
- Amendment 001: The purpose of this amendment is to provide the following responses to questions posed by potential offerors: Question: Our firm is putting together our proposal and after reviewing attachment #1, we find the bill of material very limited. We are assuming you want to include every component/item for a bill of material to complete a house structure, with exception of nails, screws (attachment hardware etc). It is not very clear how far do you wish to drill down on the project. In your attachment, the scope is far too limited, (we are assuming a brief sample to generate ideas for the proposal and we are wondering how complete do you wish. We do not want to over-simplify nor create something that is over-assuming. • Are you looking at construction methods as a part of the project? • Are you looking for bulk and unit pricing? (bulk price for total builds, and unit price to capture the price increase for home improvement)? • Attachment #1 seems to be only a sample of items, we assume a complete BOM? (ex. including items for counter top, flooring options etc.) Response: We would like a complete bill of materials (BOM) that includes both bulk and unit pricing for materials as well as construction methods used in the project. The list in attachment #1 is more of a list of "systems" than a full bill of materials. For each system there are materials associated with its installation, such as countertops for interior furnishings, copper pipe for water heaters, etc. These ancillary materials were not listed per se, but they should be factored into the cost of construction. The systems were listed in Attachment #1 because we wanted to specify not just the currently installed systems in the NZERTF, but also alternative systems that will eventually be tested in the test facility.
