Description
The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity in support of the US Army Garrison has a requirement to install degreasing pumps within forty sink cabinets in ground-level apartments at Ft. Detrick The project includes but is not limited to the following tasks and incidental related work: a.Prior to the installation of any equipment a photographic scope of the existing drain line is to be taken of the current pipe conditions. This request is to be completed by the USAG Pipe shop leader and requested by the COR 30 days prior to the installation of any equipment. (Note: All photos are to be labeled with the barracks number and provided to the COR in electronic format.) b.Installation of 40 degreasing pumps that will operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Equipment will contain 4 month material supply containing Orange Terpenes. c.Contractor to include submittal for MSDS Number 700144 intended product. d. Equipment container must hold 5 gallons of grease dissolving solution in order to properly function at 4 month intervals. e. Installed equipment within each apartment sink cabinet will have all connections sealed to preclude off-gassing. f. Pumps are to be installed in 40 ground level apartments within the following buildings, (1533, 1534, 1535, 1536, and 1538). g. Contractor is to return on quarterly biases for a period of one year to check all pumps, provide liquid solution, and to insure they remain in full working order. h.Initial start up and service contract will be for a period of one year from the completion of the installation and original start up of all 40 units. i.Prior to the end of the one year period a photographic scope of the existing drain line is to be taken of the current pipe conditions.(Note: All photos are to be labeled with the unit number and provided to the COR in electronic format.) This requirement is a 100% Small Business set aside for offerors operating under the NAICS code 238220, with a size standard of $14.0 million. Small business status will be verified via the Small Business Administration. Proposals received from concerns that do not qualify as a small business shall be considered nonresponsive and shall be rejected. However, before rejecting a proposal otherwise eligible for award because of questions concerning the small business representation associated with the above NAICS code, an SBA determination shall be obtained. Solicitation number W81XWH-12-R-0084 is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about 24 August 2012 and proposals will be due on or about 10 September 2012. The magnitude of this requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000. A site visit will be held; the date and time of the site visit will be stated in the solicitation. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued by the contracting office. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil or https://www.fbo.gov. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry at http://www.sam.gov. Telephone requests will not be honored and bidder lists will not be maintained.
