Description
Replace Existing HVAC System Building 76 FFP.The statement of work is as follows: The work includes the removal of a 30 ton roof mounted mechanical unit, and direct replacement with a packaged, 3 zone, multi stage air conditioning unit, direct expansion (DX), cooling and hot water heat. The unit physical configuration shall match the existing unit. Include minor ductwork modifications, electrical connections, Direct Digital Controls modifications and repairs to the roof as required. Class 1 Ozone Depleting chemicals such as CFC-11, CFC-12 and CFC-22 are prohibited. All existing refrigerant shall be removed and bottled in pressure containers per DOT requirements and remain property of the government. The Air Handling Unit (AHU) shall be capable of 100% outside air intake. It shall use a modulating economizer up to 100% outside air intake and shall be controlled by and with an enthalpy sensor. 2. The plans and specifications are available at: Nevada Blue, Reno Nevada, under the title: NVANG Repair Building 76 Air Conditioning Rooftop Unit. 3. Please bid the project as per the following items: a. Work shall be performed under a single fixed-price contract with no optional items or work. b. Contract award will be based on the availability of U.S. Government funds. Submitted Proposals, including pricing, will be good for six months from the date of receipt. c. Contract duration is anticipated to be 45 calendar days from notice to proceed. d. Contractor shall remove all trash and excess material from the base. f. It is strongly advised that contractor attends a pre-bid / site visit meeting tentatively scheduled for 9:00 a.m., July 10th, 2012. gProject start date should be within 10 days of notice of notice to proceed.
