- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement to purchase a hydraulic shear to manufacture test specimens. NSWCCD intends to award a non-competitive, firm-fixed price purchase order to National Sheet Metal Machines, Inc. in Smartt, TN using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A formal RFQ will NOT be issued since this purchase order award will be issued on a sole source basis. Interested parties may submit their capabilities statements no later than 1:00 PM EST on 31 August 2012. All responsible sources submitting capabilities statements will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
