- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) anticipates procuring Runway Status Lights to be installed at the Los Angeles International Airport. In order to prepare the site for installation it is necessary to contract for construction. A construction contractor will be selected as a result of the evaluation and findings associated with proposals in response to SIR #2. That contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, materials (unless otherwise specified) equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and terms. Further the contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits, licenses, and publication of notices incidental to the work defined herein. The purpose of this initial Screening Information Request (SIR#1) is to identify interested, qualified vendors. The selection of interested, qualified vendors resulting from this SIR is planned for September 2012. The screening decision will be based on the FAA's evaluation as conducted in accordance with the evaluation factors set forth below. Vendors identified as being qualified will subsequently be invited to respond to follow-on SIR (SIR #2) which will take the form of a Request For Offer. It is anticipated that only those qualified vendors will be provided the opportunity to respond to SIR #2 with a firm-fixed unit price proposal. The FAA plans for SIR #2 to be released in September of 2012, and anticipates a contract award in October 2012 to that offeror. Throughout this procurement, communications with interested vendors will be at the FAA's discretion. The FAA may conduct open and direct communications with all, some, or none of the vendors at any stage of the acquisition process. Vendor responses to this SIR must be received by the Contracting Officer, no later than 4:00PM EST on August 31, 2012. Responses should be provided to the address below: David.L.Reynolds@faa.gov and Troy.Teachey@faa.gov.
