Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Technology Acquisition Center (TAC) intends to award a twelve month, plus one twelve-month optional period, firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract, to SBG Technology Solutions Inc., 2 Brittany Lane, Stafford, VA 22554-7687, for integration management support services for the following three programs: MyHealtheVet portfolio; the Enterprise Mobile Applications program; and the 21st Century Scheduling program. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is utilizing increasing numbers and varieties of mobile applications and new technologies in order to build tools to empower VA beneficiaries and to support the Integrated Electronic Health Record (IEHR). These mobile applications and new technologies present new challenges in terms of integration with other products, interoperability, and compliance with essential information technology (IT) standards. These challenges are exacerbated by the ever increasing speed with which the products are conceived, designed, and implemented. For this reason, it is imperative that OIT focus on the integration, coordination, interface, interoperability, and dependency management of the functional and technical aspects of all current mobile application products within OIT and potentially with other Government agencies. Under this action the Contractor shall conduct an inventory list of all products, software, applications, and tools including those currently in use and in-process, and planned projects/technologies being utilized by OIT in the three programs identified herein. This effort is issued under the authority of 38 U.S.C. 8127(c), Veterans First Contracting Program. Contracts awarded using this authority are supported by written justifications as required by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5, "Authorized or required by statute". Deliverables are to be FOB Destination with Inspection/Acceptance at Destination. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541519 with the corresponding small business size standard of $25,500,000. The solicitation number assigned to this effort is VA118-12-R-0354 and will be issued on or about August 28, 2012. Performance will be at the Contractor's facility. An award date no later than September 30, 2012 is desired. P.O.C. for this acquisition will be Joshua Cohen, 732-440-9696, Joshua.cohen2@va.gov.
