- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 115310, Support Activities for Forestry. The size standard is 7 M. The Product Service Code for this procurement is F019. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) in Portland Oregon intends to award a fixed-price purchase order under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, for the acquisition of services for weed control. The related service is to control and prevent the establishment of select plant species on refuge lands. Contractor must demonstrate experience as specified in the statement of work and be capable of recognizing and distinguishing stated vegetation. Contractors must possess the necessary personnel, equipment, and capacity to work at this site. All interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit a quote. Quotes must be firm-fixed priced, and include all quantities listed, all or none. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation presents the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. Questions regarding this requirement may be submitted immediately via email but no later than September 3, 2012, 1500 PS to: josh_gordon@fws.gov. Questions with the Governments responses will be posted as an amendment to this solicitation. Responses to this request for quote must be submitted by September 11, 2012, 1500 PS, via e-mail only to josh_gordon@fws.gov. Offerors shall submit quotes via email in Microsoft (MS) Office 2003 or 2007 Format. Quotes should be clearly marked with RFQ F12PS0xxxx. Please submit Standard Form 1449, Cost Estimate Worksheet, and Narrative as an attachment to: josh_gordon@fws.gov NO LATER THAN September 11, 2012, 1500 PS. It is the responsibility of each offeror to review the publication website for notice of amendments, updates or changes to current information. If this solicitation is amended, all terms and conditions that are not amended remain unchanged. Offerors shall acknowledge receipt of any amendment to this solicitation by the date and time specified in the amendment(s). Late quotes will be rejected and will not be considered or evaluated for award.
