Description
In accordance with Federal Regulations, this Pre-Solicitation Notice is posted to announce that the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Systems Section, DITCO/PL8223, 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB IL 62225-5406, intends to release a Formal Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Department of Defense Mobility, Mobile Device Management-Mobile Application Store (DoD Mobility MDM-MAS) on or about 2 October 2012. The Mobile Device Management (MDM) capability will provide the application and the user level controls necessary to enforce security policy. The MDM will control and manage end user mobile devices throughout the contract lifecycle. The Mobile Application Store (MAS) capability is an online digital electronic software distribution system often part of the MDM. The MAS will be a centrally managed mobile application store which will provide application whitelisting, blacklisting, and role based access control (RBAC). The MAS depends upon the MDM for identification of new, removed, or changed mobile devices to support the PMO Mobility function. DITCO/PL8223 is working with DISA PEO-MA and DISA PEO-COMMS to issue a Full and Open RFP for the MDM-MAS. Contract duration will be a three-year contract with a one year base year and four, six-month options. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price (FFP) contract in accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiations. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Oral communications are not acceptable. When released, the RFP will be available for download from the FedBizOpps website. The release of the RFP is anticipated on or about 2 October 2012. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code 541512 is applicable to this requirement.
