- Description
- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR DIGITAL RECORDER SYSTEM. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions generated by the solicitation. QUESTION: Is 24 bit amplitude resolution referred to +/-10 Volt full scale only OR are user selectable full scale input ranges required? ANSWER: 24 bit resolution is required at +- 10V input range. 24 bit resolution is acceptable at other input ranges if they are selectable. QUESTION: Is there a cold junction requirement for the thermocouple inputs? ANSWER: No. QUESTION: Please define simultaneous as maximum sampling jitter between channels or in some other quantitative manner. ANSWER: Simultaneous means channel 1 sample 1 happens at time 0. If multiple units are required to get the total channels specified, then the first channel on each unit must all sample at time 0. Certainly a small skew between channels as the remainder of the sample is acquired is acceptable. The second sample for channel 1 (or all first channels on multiple units) must happen at time DeltaT which is determined by the selected sample rate. The system shall be able to do this at the fastest sample rate specified, which is 50 KHz. What we do not want is multiple units sampling on separate clocks. Simultaneous means multiple units are tied together in such a way as to allow sampling of all channels on the same clock. QUESTION: Is there a physical size requirement. ANSWER: No size limit. QUESTION: Does playback refer to visual data review or analog output signal generation? ANSWER: Playback means visual. No analog output channels required. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to SEPTEMBER 4, 2012. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) by September 4th, 2012.
