Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District is issuing this notice of sole source intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source for the procurement of nine transformer protective relays to be used at Carters Powerhouse, located on Carters Lake in Chatsworth, GA. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Carters Powerhouse is procuring nine Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) protective relays. All required wiring harnesses shall be supplied, current inputs shall be #10 voltage and power inputs shall be #14. All wire lengths shall be 16 feet minimum. Substitution of a brand of relay other than SEL is not acceptable. The relays in this specification are spares for installed equipment and must be identical in order to insure the existing wiring and program logic is compatible. All relays shall be new, not remanufactured, include the latest firmware, and be provided with the manufacturer's standard warranty. Written notification and supporting documentation regarding this action may be submitted via emails to Sara Logsdon at sara.g.logsdon@usace.army.mil. Responses must be received within the time specified above. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this synopsis nor return the data provided. A solicitation is not available.
