- The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center (NIH CC) Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences (RAD&IS) in Bethesda Maryland is conducting a market survey/sources sought to help determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and/or HUBZONE small business capable of serving the needs mentioned below. This market survey/sources sought announcement is not a request for proposals and the Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this market survey. The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, Radiology & Imaging Sciences intends to procure medical instruments and devices developed by the Vitaldyne Co. in Waverly,MN specifically designed for use in Diagnostic Procedures and studies including Clinical Study 05-CC-0091. The following products required: 1- #1412 Conductive Basket Device.Conductive RF current. Provide coagulation within a vessel. Device will function utilizing 500kHz,200 watts (240 each) 2- #1433 Guidewire with embedded EM sensor coil 0.35, 8mm guidewire.Core tip to provide torque control. Overall length 80 cm, tip 3 cm, 10 concept prototypes (210 hours) 3- #1435 Ultrasound transducer guide with embedded sensor 2.4 MHz frequency, 2 mm sensor-length 80 mm ( 5 each) 4- #1444A Surgical Instruments with Electromagnetic sensors Sensor will be magneto-resistive,low frequency (10 each) 5- #1432A Product Development Removable Bronchial Stent 10mm stent with reattachment arm (1 each) Stent will be attached to iVC filter 6- #1434A Condcutive catheter with power supply Less than 10 microamps Modified catheter connector design to bifricate the connector (10 each) 7- #1431A Catheter 5.905 inches (40 each) The products referenced will be solicited under NAICS 339112- size standard 500 employees The due date for submission of this information is 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on (September 9 2012 ).
