Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to solicit, on a competitive basis, a purchase order for the quantity of thirty (30) SB-37 Steel floats with the following characteristics: 1. The floats shall be 700 lbs. buoyancy and include epoxy paint color yellow with Zinc anodes. 2. The floats shall be fabricated in accordance with NSWCPCD sketch and shall be modified in the following manner: a) One piece of ¾ ¯ x 12 ¯ rebar welded perpendicular to the internal support bar 12 ¯ from the bottom of the shell; b) The test port to be located 5.5 ¯ from the leading edge of the top pad eye and 180 degrees from the Bail; c) Bail and anode attachment plate for (2) Canada Metals M-40 anode segments. NSWCPCD plans on releasing the request for quote (RFQ) electronically only. The RFQ and any amendments may be downloaded from the following websites: 1. Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) and; 2. Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps). The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 332999. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. Federal Supply Classification (FSC) is 2050. The closing date for this synopsis is 09/18/2012 at 4:30 Central Standard Time. The order shall be firm fixed price with the anticipated award date of 10 Sep 2012. Delivery of equipment will be shipped to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer, Building 100, 101 Vernon Ave, Panama City Beach, FL 32407-7018. The Department of Defense is requesting vendors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to invoicing. Registration may be accomplished by accessing the SAM website at https://www.sam.gov. Registration in the CCR website is no longer required. Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT).
