Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to procure the following service: Six (6) Mercedes OM603.950 Engine Rebuilds for the Hagglund SUSV BV206. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract (as prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1) to Metric Motors, Inc. 7630 Alabama Ave. Canoga Park, CA 91304. Metric Motors, Inc. is the sole re-manufacturer of the OM603.950 engine which is required to power the Hagglund SUSV BV206. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811111 and the Business Size Standard is $7.0 million dollars per year. Posting date of this requirement is 5 September 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, 10 September 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This award is being made by the United States Marine Corps Regional Contracting Office Twentynine Palms California, Bldg 1102 Door 22 Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, CA 92278.
