- Sole Source Non-Competitive Memorandum The Air Force intends to make an award on a sole source basis. The proposed contract action is for commodities for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source per FAR 6.302-1(a)(1). The specific requirement is to provide all necessary hardware components, software and training for the BreakingPoint System. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. However, all quotes received by 20 September 2012, 4:00 P.M. MST, will be considered by the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Sole Source is based upon BreakingPoint Systems, Inc. being the only manufacturer of this system and the only one able to provide the comprehensive training necessary to use it. They also ensure compatibility with other Federal training partners. Solicitation Number is F3RTCL2223A001 The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Priced contract. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 334111-Electronic Computer Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The items requested to meet this requirement are as follows: CLIN 0001: BreakingPoint Chassis w/One 1 Gig 8-port Blade. P/N 100-10104-01, Quantity 1 Each. CLIN 0002: One year Application & Threat Intelligence Program for BreakingPoint Chassis w/One 1 Gig 8-port Blade. P/N 100-10114-01, Quantity 1 Each CLIN 0003: BreakingPoint Hard Drive w/OS P/N 123-00005-00, Quantity 1 Each CLIN 0004: Comprehensive Training (BP-205) 5 Days Classroom at BreakingPoint HQ per seat.
