- GENERAL INFORMATION Document Type: Special Notice Solicitation Number: W911QY-12-R-0048 Posted Date: 04 September 2012 Response Date: NLT 16:00 PM CST, 12 September 2012 Classification Codes: 61 - Educational Services, NAICS: 611512 with a Small Business Administration size standard of $25.5M. Award: It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a Single Award, FFP, IDIQ Contract with 100 % Small Business Set Aside. DESCRIPTION This is a Special Notice only. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. All interested parties are encouraged to respond to this Notice. The U.S. government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Notice will be solely at the expense of the interested party. Not responding to this Notice will not preclude participation in any future RFP if issued. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a competitive contract. BACKGROUND The Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Product Office (SUAS PdO) is seeking qualified business candidates that can provide Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SUAS) Flight Training, Contractor Logistics and Engineering Services to support current and future Warfighter needs. Potential vendors should have the capability to immediately provide these services. In support of this requirement the SUAS PdO will hold an Industry Day consisting of two parts (1) an interchange meeting with the Contracting Officer in attendance at Redstone Arsenal, Building 3704 (corner of Aerobee Road and Patton Road) Huntsville, Alabama 35805 on Thursday September 20 from 8:00AM to 11:00AM. (2) Inventory Control Point (ICP) familiarization will also be held from 1300-1700 that same day at the SUAS warehouse located at 248 Dunlop Blvd., Huntsville, AL 35824. PROTOCOL No cameras or recording devices are permitted in the warehouse. No more than three personnel per company are allowed to attend. Room monitors shall be present, who will immediately terminate the viewing if the rules are not followed. Room monitors may accept written questions to be answered at a later date, but monitors cannot be asked, nor answer oral questions. IMPORTANT NOTICE All attendees (no more than three per company or team of companies) must RSVP NLT 1630 CDT, 12 September 2012 to: Major Jeff Poquette, Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems: jeffrey.poquette@us.army.mil Each company must submit the attendees name, date of birth and social security number for a background check. Due to the security requirements, no walk-ins or replacement of attending personnel can be accommodated, therefore walk-ins will not be admitted. All attendees must show proof of United States citizenship by Birth Certificate, Naturalization Documents or a current United States Passport before being granted access to the SUAS warehouse. Upon confirmation of the RSVP, conference room location and directions will be provided by the SUAS PdO. *Attached to this Notice is a DRAFT Performance Work Statement for review and consideration.
