Description
SF-1449 SCOPE OF WORK Roof insulation project for Lake Traverse Project Shop Building. SCOPE OF WORK Apply a minimum of 2 inches of closed cell sprayed polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation for roofing onto a corrugated steel roof that measures approximately 21 feet to peak with a length of 100 feet for each side of the roof. Approximate total roof area is 4,200 square feet. Contractor is responsible determining the actual measurements to ensure the project is completed satisfactorily. Complete roof preparation according to manufacturers specifications to include at least washing the surface and prime any rusted areas. The spray foam must be applied in a seamless/fully adhered fashion and according to manufacturer's recommendation. The spray foam must be rated with a service life of 20 plus years and have an R value of at least 6+/inch and have a Density Property (pcf) value greater than 2.9 using test method ASTM D 1622. Apply a protective elastomeric moisture-cure silicone rubber roof coating system that is vapor permeable having the ability to "breathe" designed for use over spray-in-place polyurethane foam with embedded standard roofing granules in stages according to manufacturer's instructions to provide a tensile strength of at least 225 PSI at 75 degrees Fahrenheit using test method ASTM D-412, with a permeability greater than 4 using test method ASTM E-96, Procedure B and with the minimum combined cured thickness of basecoat(s) and topcoat of at least 15 mils. First stage(s) will be grey and the final stage will be white without any grey showing. The applicator must show proof of certification of training to apply the material used. EM 385-1-1, Corps of Engineers Safety Manual guidelines will be adhered to during the duration of the contract. DELIVERY DUE DATE Completion date of September 30, 2012.
