Description
Amendment to synopsis The Mission and Installation Contracting Office (MICC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington intends to award a sole-source modification to extend contract Number W911S8-12-D-0009 for a 6 month period from 1 October 2012 through 31 March 2013 to Systems Application & Technologies, Incorporated for operation and maintenance of the Multi-Purpose Ranges and Facilities Services (MPRC) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord-Yakima Training Center. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), these services are required by the agency and are available from this responsible source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the needs of the agency, or it will result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. A determination not to compete this requirement is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals. Inquiries should be directed no later than Thursday, 13 September 2012, via e-mail, reference W911S8-12-D-0009, to Linda Hale, Contract Administrator, linda.a.hale.civ@mail.mil. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice; whether or not the Government initially determined that another firm was fully qualified to fulfill the U.S. Army requirement. NOTE: If documents are sent via e-mail, the contractor will be responsible for validating Government receipt by calling the Contract Administrator at (253) 982-3876. No solicitation is available and telephone requests for information will not be honored. (Product/Service Code: M299; NAICs Code: 561210).
