This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-58, dated May 18, 2012. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. QTY: 1 The Rivet Machine should be specifically developed for the removal and replacement of friction pads from the stator and pressure plates of steel aircraft brake assemblies. To undertake these processes the press is available in two formats, to either assemble or disassemble the pads from the discs. The flexibility of the machine design enables a wide range of brakes to be accommodated by utilizing simple change parts. The process must take place in a totally enclosed guard, providing a safe working environment for the operator. Guard can be manually operated and interlocked during the working cycle. The second machine (De-Rivet) will let the operator load the used stator I rotor to the dial plate and closes the guard. Sprung locations align the plate and clamp it in its correct position, ensuring the first pad to be processed is directly under the top tool. If providing an equal item, it is the vendor's responsibility to provide documentation that demonstrates the item being quoted is equal to the product being requested, failure to do so could result in your product being considered not equal.
