- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to procure the following service: Four (4) TSI Laser Photometers Model 8587A required to quantitatively measure corn oil aerosol concentrations. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract (as prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1) to TSI Incorporated, 500 Cardigan Road, St. Paul, MN 55126-3903. TSI Incorporated is the sole manufacturer of these laser photometers required to interact with proprietary software. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334519 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Posting date of this requirement is 5 September 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time, 10 September 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This award is being made by the U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground Tenant Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013.
