- The proposed procurement includes an item within the Federal Supply Class of 6140. The subject requirement is for the acquisition of NSN 6140-01-485-1472 Specifications, plans, or drawings are not available from the Government. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore the Government intends to solicit and contract with companies on the Source controlled Drawing under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The requirement will result in an award with no option for a grand total of 12,000 Each. The duration shall not exceed this one time buy. CLIN 0001 is for 12,000 Each with delivery to Stockton, CA (W62G2T). The requirement will result in a single award. The procurement will be in accordance with FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available in DIBBS on or about 10 October 2012 at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp. EXIDE TECHNOLOGIES (0S0P8) P/N 6TAGM ENERSYS ENERGY PRODUCTS INC (0WY95) P/N 9750N7025 While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based on a combination of price, past performance, and proposed delivery as described in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. An alternate source must submit data and be approved by cognizant Government engineering activity. The delivery for this acquisition will be on FOB Destination basis. The proposed procurement contains no option to extend the contract period. The duration shall not exceed this one time buy. This solicitation will be issued as other than full and open competition, unrestricted procurement. Battery, Storage NSN 6140 01 485 1472 FOB Destination Total Contract Purchase: 12,000 EACH Unit of Issue: Each Delivery: 45 days after date of award This item is subject to the Trade Agreements Act. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
