- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR DIGITAL PORTABLE RADIO KITS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to respond to additional questions: QUESTION: The description on your sol. NNH12447787Q reads Install system with 2 remote receiver voters and program repeaters and portable for operation 12NSN= P/N=INSTALL Install system with 2 remote receiver voters and program repeaters and portable for operation. 1 EA Are the two receiver voters in addition to the repeaters listed above? RESPONSE: There is no additional equipment existing that will be utilized. QUESTION: Is there Cat5 and power at the proposed locations? RESPONSE: All wire will need to be included with the installation price. Initial estimate is less than 100 of wire will be needed. Repeater will be installed in communications room and a power outlet will be available. QUESTION: Also in regards to the installation, will there be two antennas and therefore 2 cable runs? RESPONSE: Yes, cable runs should be included with the install price. QUESTION: Are there chases or conduit through the walls for the antenna cable or will they need to be drilled out? RESPONSE: Cable runs will need to be run through risers between floors and if necessary utilizing new support materials above the ceiling independently from other infrastructure. QUESTION: Is there existing equipment and cable runs that will be replaced? RESPONSE: Not necessarily, current analog system wire is hung and may be left in place. QUESTION: Will the antenna be mounted outside?.And if so will it require access by a ladder or can it be accessed from the building? RESPONSE: Nothing will be mounted outside. QUESTION: Could I do a site walk tomorrow to see the install location? RESPONSE: Personnel will not be available for a tour of the facility.The facility is nine stories tall, and has one floor and three parking levels below the first floor. It is a long narrow building built in or around 1992. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on Monday, September 10 at 2pm EST. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
