- Description
- The agency requires dry-docking services to clean the underwater hulls of certain non-retention vessels located at the Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet (SBRF), Benicia, CA. Vessels will be cleaned before removal to another bio-geographic area for recycling to mitigate the transmission of non-indigenous aquatic species as required by the National Invasive Species Act. The Maritime Administration intends to issue a solicitation to establish Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) with existing commercial Shipyards within the San Francisco Bay geographical area capable of drydocking and cleaning large vessels of the kind in the SBRF. Interested parties are invited to submit past performance data that indicates that they have the technical and financial capability to perform this service of vessels of this size. Any submittals or questions resulting from this pre-solicitation notice must be emailed to Alfredia Rich-Murphy, Contracting Officer at alfredia.rich-murphy@dot.gov. Solicitation Notice DTMA-91-R-2012-0041 will be issued about September 28, 2012.
