- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Innovation Data Processing, Inc., 275 Paterson Avenue, Little Falls, NJ 07424-1658 under the authority of 41 U.S.C. (253)(c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, 'Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements' for maintenance renewal of software applications FDR/CPK, ABR, FDRREORG and FDR-PAS. FDR/CPK is a disk management utility that is used for reorganizing DASD. The ABR allows backup and restore capabilities of OS390 data by such parameters as last access date. FDRREORG is used to reorganize VSAM and PDS files. FDR-PAS is used to mode data in a DASD environment from one device to another, non-disruptively. These tools provide the necessary utilities to backup and restore data on the mainframe systems and are used to manage DASD. Innovation Data Processing, Inc. owns all proprietary rights to the softw! are's source code, maintenance support, updates, upgrades and fixes. No other source can maintain the software, nor provide the relevant upgrades and maintenance coverage. This is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Government does not intend to pay for information received. If SSA does not identify other sources capable of providing the necessary software license maintenance support, SSA shall issue a sole source award under FAR Part 15. Responses to this notice should be submitted to Bradley.Karbeling@ssa.gov by Friday, September 14, 2012, 3:00 p.m. ET. The Government does not intend to provide evaluation results to the sender. Oral communications are not acceptable. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the email address listed above. Telephone calls regarding this matter will not be accepted, nor will they be returned.
