- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation, but market research to determine potential sources of a GC-IR system with the unique configuration to provide individual solid phase transmission spectra of each component for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Office of Forensic Sciences, Special Testing and Research Laboratory (SFL1). The GC-IR system must possess the capability to produce high resolution solid phase transmission spectra. The IR spectral range of shall be between 4000-650cm-1 or better. The system shall possess a built in interferometer coupled with a 0.1x 0.1mm MCT detector to provide a signal response factor of 15mAU for 2 nanograms of Nonadecane for better sensitivity. In addition, the system shall be able to scan samples post run to increase the signal to noise ratio. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334516. The business size standard is 500 employees. Please provide a capability statement that demonstrates your company’s ability to meet the aforementioned specifications of the GC-IR system, your two most recent government contracts awarded for similar or same work, their dollar value and period of performance. This is a sources sought to find capable large or small businesses. Please indicate your business size status and demarcation. All communication regarding this posting shall be in writing and be received by Friday, September 14, 2012 no later than 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
