Sole Source Justification <OFFADD>USDA, ARS, ERRC; Location Administrative Office; 600 East Mermaid Lane; Wyndmoor, PA 19038 <<SUBJECT>J- CARRIER 19XL MOTOR REPAIRS <SOLNBR>966-0027-12 <RESPDATE>09-17-12 <CONTACT>Point of Contact, Regina Dennis, Purchasing Agent, (215)233-6553, fax (215) 233-6485 The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC), Office of Center Director (OCD), intends to negotiate solely with Carrier Commercial Service, in Plymouth Meeting, PA, to have a Carrier 19XL Machine motor repaired including rewinding to the 500 Ton Carrier Centrifugal chiller Model 19XL installed at ERRC. This repair will restore the unit to service. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 (current as of FAC 2005-60B). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS is 333415. The Solicitation number is 966-0027-12 and is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). Companies with the demonstrated capability of providing this equipment must submit a descriptive statement, including descriptive literature, specifically addressing the equipment=s component=s and availability. In the event multiple quotes are received, the quotes will be evaluated on the basis of lowest price, technically acceptable. In order to be considered technically acceptable, the item must meet specifications and compatibility requirements. The statement and literature must be submitted to the Contracting Office Address NLT 09/17/2012. This is not a request for proposal. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.
