This solicitation is 100% set aside for Small Business. The NAICS code is 333415 and the Small Business size standard is 750 employees While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of 27 Sep 12. Copies of the solicitation may be obtained on the Internet at http:/www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil after the issue date. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. Description: NSN 2930-01-233-1803, Keelcooler. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The approved source is F.W. Fernstrum (98396) part number DA837UX. Based on market research this item is manufactured for military use only and is not commercial; therefore, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for this item. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The required quantity is 359 each. FOB destination and inspection/acceptance at origin is required. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date of 27 Sep 12.. There are no technical drawings/bid sets available. All offers shall be in the English language and in US dollars. This solicitation will include DLAD provision 52.215-9023, Reverse Auction (RA). It is the intent of the contracting officer to utilize reverse auction to the maximum extent practicable. The inclusion of the provision does not mandate use of RA. The item on this procurement is subject to the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. Submission of proposal by electronic commerce (e-mail) is allowed. E-mailed proposal shall not be transmitted directly to the Contracting Officer. Submit e-mailed proposals to the Bid and Abstract Room at: ContractorProposalDLALandandMaritime@dla.mil.
