Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a competitive solicitation for AEGIS Combat System (ACS) Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) efforts. The anticipated requirements include SI&T engineering and technical efforts required to deliver fully integrated combat systems in support of future DDG 51 class new construction ships, fleet modernization programs for in-service DDG 51 and CG 47 class AEGIS ships, and BMD capability upgrades beginning in FY14. AEGIS SI&T represents the management of the physical design, installation, test, and maintenance from concept development throughout a ship ™s lifecycle of warfare systems to build and maintain combat ready ships. These efforts are focused on the interface and ship design, equipment installation and planning, industrial level testing, and at-sea qualification of the combat system during construction, extended availabilities, and sea trials. Post-delivery SI&T support for DDGs 117 and 118, new construction SI&T for Advanced Capability Build (ACB) 16/Technology Insertion (TI) 16 ships, and ACB 16/TI 16 modernization ships will be included in this procurement.
