Description
Detailed List of Specifications Revision 1 The purpose of this document is to provide a detailed list of customer required specifications concerning the procurement of ITSD priority number 2074. The purpose of this requisition is to procure a new Vertical Cryogenic Bulk Liquid Nitrogen storage Tank. This upgrade will support both the departments of Engineering and Weapons and the Department of Math and Science. Below will be a detailed list of specifications in order to meet the requirements of the United States Naval Academy. Minimum Capacity of 1500 gallons Have a working pressure of 250 PSI Have liquid and gas withdraw capabilities Be able to regulate output pressure of both liquid and gas The feet on the tank must be in the following configuration 3 feet separated 120 degrees apart and the bearing plates must not exceed a 7 diameter. All parts of the tank except for the plumbing must fit in the 7 diameter described above. Must be able to install on the existing pad site. The existing pad has been certified to hold the Taylor-Wharton 1500 gallon vertical tank by NAVFAC. The weight of the tank that was certified is 20,600 Lbs. filled. Have a digital liquid level gage that monitors liquid level and alerts supplier of low LN2 level Installation must be included in the price of this procurement. This will be a detailed installation that requires the three tank bearing plates be installed a minimum of 30 inches from the edges of the existing pad. It will be required to provide a 16 x 16 x thick leveling plate for each of the three legs with a 1.5 thick with a 1.5 thick grout bearing under the leveling plate. All aspects of the installation must meet the standards put forth by NAVFAC. While working on the United States Naval Academy grounds contractors must follow all safety guidelines furnished by NAVFAC. Contractors must submit a plan of installation and a safety plan to NAVFAC prior to this install.
