- Notice of intent document The announcement for Building 314 Touch Panel Upgrade stated below superceeds the previous announcement for Building 314 Touch Panel Upgrade, posted on Federal Business Opportunities on September 14th, 2012 by A1C Paul Bennett. The announcement posted on September 14th, 2012 is considered null and void therefore, any interested parties that responded MUST acqnowledge and respond to the notice issued below. This announcement is being re-posted since the previous posting did not contain detailed information on the requirement or the rationale for this requirment that is to be purchased sole source. This announcement constitutes public notice of intent to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order for purchasing (4) Crestron wired touch panels to include all hardware, cables, connectors, programming, and installation in building 314 on a sole source basis from I-Tech A/V, 129 Virginia Way, Searcy AR 72143-8654. The proposed source, I-Tech A/V, currently holds the requirement for the overall completion of the A/V system located at building 314, holds proprietary rights to the current programming, and is responsible for the warranty for all hardware and software installed. It has determined that it is in the best interest of the government to procure the supplies/services from I-Tech A/V due to the anticipated additional costs from other sources for reconfiguring and reprogramming the buildings A/V system, and the loss of the warranty placed on the current equipment and programming. This requirement will be negotiated on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(2). Interested persons may respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within three business days after the date of this publication. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 334310 and has a size standard of 750 Employees. The Government does not intend to pay for any information received in response to this announcement.
