Description
Packaging and Marking Specification Repair Specification This solicitation will be unrestricted. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center has a requirement on a sole source basis for the repair/overhaul of failed transponders, L-3 Control/Display Units/AIS TPX, national stock number (NSN) 6610-01-536-2446, part numbers AISA1000094, AISA100090 and AISA300090 for the USCG fleet and stations utilizing other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.3. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, services, equipment, supplies, power, accessories, facilities and such other things as are necessary, except as otherwise specified in the solicitation, to perform repairs/overhauls of transponders, in accordance with the solicitation and attached specifications. All repairs will be in accordance with the specification entitled: Specification Number R-400-299-J (February 2008) For Repair of Electronic Equipment and Modules. All repairs will take place at the contractor's facility. The address for shipment of failed transponders shall be provided in accordance with the solicitation. All transponders listed above are manufactured and repaired by L-3 Communications Corporation. To assure proper Form, Fit and Function of the transponders and that Security Certifications are maintained only Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) repair services shall be used. Services offered under this solicitation which are other than OEM services will be rejected as unacceptable. The USCG intends to award one Indefinite-Delivery, Requirements contract on a firm fixed-price basis consisting of one base year and four option years. Estimated quantities per year will be specified in the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available for downloading from FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov on or about 10/09/2012. Be advised that this date is estimated at best, and it is the contractor's responsibility to check FedBizOpps regularly for release of the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 334511, and the size standard for small business is 750 employees.
