- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is for Brand Name or equal. "Equal" quotations shall include manufacturer, part number, warranty, and sufficient salient information to clearly discern the product as equal. To confirm that a product is equal you must submit the Or equal spreadsheet with sufficient data to determine that you are truly bidding an equal. Failure to include sufficient technical supporting documentation will deem the proposal as non-responsive. Award will be made to the quotation which is the lowest-price-technically-acceptable. The Government also reserves the right to make no award at all. This scope does not have recording capabilities, no visual aid for the OR staff to reference and will reach its max life expectancy 4 March 2013. Upgrading the scope will save $$ as opposed to purchasing a completely new scope. By upgrading we will be able to maintain consistency with scopes for our Ophthalmology cases decreasing training time and avoiding unfamiliarity that comes with new equipment. The OPMI LUMERA T System is an ophthalmology specific microscope: a revolution in red reflex technology with SCI (Stereo Coaxial Illumination) for brilliant stability, brightness and outstanding contrast. Dimensions: 11 in. wide x 14 in. high x 24 in. deep The OPMI LUMERA System will provide unique detail recognition, high-contrast brilliance and stability of the red reflex-even with strong pigmented, de-centered and ametropic eyes. This advanced surgical microscope dramatically improves red reflex and depth perception during cataract surgery with the potential to improve surgical outcomes. The surgical field viewed in the microscope can be transmitted to a monitor in the operating room so the entire OR staff has a reliable source of information throughout the procedure.
