Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT AND CREW: 600 HP Tug with crew, Spud Barge with spud man, and Forty (40)Ton Crane with operator for Calcasieu Lock Replacement Undisturbed Borings: OBJECTIVE: Load Government equipment at contractor dock. Two pontoon bridges within a 4 hour push from dock to the Locks. Pickup borings in remote area just south of the locks this area is only accessible by water. EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES REQUIRED: Barge and tow with 40 ton crane will be needed to load and unload Government drill rig weighing a minimum of 31,000 pounds (15.5 tons), to include a Marsh Master, equipment trailer & sample trailer onto the site. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contractor shall be available to come out to the site every 4-5 days which may changed with requested by the on-site Senior Government Official. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (1) Contractor shall transport soil samples to shore which are properly soils being properly marked as soils for lab for testing. (2) Borings Four (4) Each: One boring may be approximately 150ft weighing approximately 3500 pounds (1.75 tons) of soil samples. SERVICE TIME REQUIREMENT: Service requirement: Approximately ten (10) days for mobilization / demobilization and transport samples to shore.
