- Description
- Signed copy of the Justification and Approval for exception to fair opportunity. The United States General Services Administration, Public Building Service, Northwest Arctic Region, Design and Construction Division awarded a follow-on task order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations Subsection 16.505 (b)(2)(i)(C), exception to Fair Market Opportunity Under Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contracts to Hinman Consulting Engineers, Inc. located at 1 Bush Street, Suite 510, San Francisco, CA 94104-4411. The task order was awarded in the amount of $84,722. The sole source determination was based upon urgency, as well as economy and efficiency since the Hinman/KPFF A/E team has critical firsthand knowledge gained through an ongoing engineering assessment being conducted for Warehouses 3 through 8. Permanent repairs are needed for Building 7 (the Social Security Administration Telecenter converted from Warehouse 7) due to structural damage discovered by Hinman/KPFF team. Short term repairs are being applied in the interim. However, these repairs do not take care of the long term need for the permanent soluction. The Hinman/KPFF team will be able to quickly apply the engineering data gained from their current task order and apply it directly to the feasibility study that will allow the GSA to make an educated decision for the direction to take regarding this building. Work will be performed at both Hinman Consulting Engineering, Inc and KPFF Consulting Engineers offices in San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA, as well as onsite at the GSA Auburn Complex located in Auburn, WA.
